Types of Breasts Lumps

It is frightening for every woman who fined lump in her breast. The most frightening thing is breast cancer. There are different type of lumps, can be develop in women’s breast some of them are harmless like masses of fibers, being tumors and cysts.

A health care expert can  decide the type of breast lump; on the other hand, it may be interesting to know that existence of a lump in the breast  can result may be due to woman’s health condition rather than  breast cancer. Daily examination is necessary to be aware of breast cancer and breast health. It is also helpful in the early detection of a lump that can be developing due to a number of causes.

Cysts

This type of lump is full with the fluid sacs that are typically in the size of grapes. In the age of 30s and 40s cysts are common in women and normally disappear after menopause. They typically feel similar to water filled small balloons. Theses cysts can be chewy and hard. This type of   lump normally no need of treatment and they vanish on their own.

Fibroadenomas type’s tumors are generally common in young girls in the age of 20s and 30s.   Fibroadenomas is the most common type of breast lump in pre-menopausal women. It is easy to identify this type of lump, when touches them they move easily in the skin and they are not painful. The cause of tumors is unknown that how they form.

Mastitis

Malignant Tumors

Most of the breast lumps are not harmless. Malignant tumors vary in sizes from very small to a bit large. They have uneven hard edges and don’t move if touched or pushed. Although they do not usually signify cancer yet a checkup is recommended. Any kind of lumps should be reported to physician even if biopsy is needed bearing in mind that majority of lumps is non-cancerous.
